Keighley Cougars rugby club’s website hacked to say ‘I love you Isis’
The website for rugby club Keighley Cougars has been hacked and replaced by a page featuring the slogan: “I love you Isis”.
Web users landing on the homepage are greeted by a black screen overlaid with images reportedly showing US warplanes, Muslim homes in conflict areas and women and children casualties. The words “Hacked By Team System DZ” are written at the top of the page and music plays in the background.
Counter-terrorism police are investigating the hacking, while a message posted on the club’s Twitter feed yesterday said: “Apologies, the website has been hacked. The developers are working on it. Will let you know when it’s back up and running.”
A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said they had received a number of calls about the incident.
“We are aware of this incident and have now passed it to our counter-terrorism unit. We will work with the club in relation to this and are making enquiries.”
